The sort of conflict I most fear would have to be the contention which goes on unattended or even ignored. This particular kind of conflict is the most dangerous sort. Conflict ignored is conflict buried. Masked conflict leads to even greater internal strife which slowly builds toward a complete meltdown of the social core. The reaction and fallout produced is terribly detrimental to the community. A community with buried conflict is a community composed of people who have left important things unsaid; who have left essential things unqualified; and who have become comfortable with the uncomfortable.
