A daily and evolving almanac of pithy religious sayings.

Relativism is theological detriment, in my opinion. It is also the quickest way to render a theological movement totally useless in the society in which it lives. Societies - at their most basic levels - operate on very obvious truth claims. This fact alone should speak volumes to religious liberals who either think they have no use for truth claims, or believe all of life should be lived in the abstract. A theology - or a wannabe theology - built upon complete relativism will accomplish nothing save the complete secularization of the society (why religion? why worship?). People will naturally ignore such theology and consequently turn towards truth claims perpetuated by the society itself, which are not as fulfilling as an authentic experience of theology because societies are largely mechanistic in nature, as they should be.
