1000 Wells

The first few bicycles owned by each of my children are archived in the family basement. They are all the same size: 12″ bicycles. They are so little. One bike has its training wheels still attached, while the others hint of advanced bike riding abilities. I simply see little bikes once joyfully peddled around by my children. They are special family artifacts. I cherish them! My kids will too someday! I do not doubt that they will be thankful for my preservation of them. I will not save all of the bicycles they will own and ride throughout the course of their lives here at home, but I do have their first few. I have collected three 12″ bikes, three 16″ bikes, and my son just got a brand new 20″ bike. The first bikes are the most special bikes, to say the least.

  1. Lovely thought Shawn… my son has a three wheel bicycle, and is stillriding it. He is two! But after reading your post I am now going to keep it after he discards it.

  2. Great, sanjay! I am sure your son will appreciate it too! Thanks for the comment.
