I took a break from some serious community building and loaded the family into our snow drift bustin’ Honda Accord and set out upon some pretty awful road conditions. Why? Well, to catch the 4:50 PM showing of The Bridge to Terabithia, of course. I also really needed a break from the study and web [...]

I just discovered a very promising Christian online video site aka GodTube. A few very basic but very loose organizational threads for the Saturday evening gathering in Lancaster City are being tied up. I’ll be busy for the next few days building a very basic foundation upon which a core group of us can start to meet, communicate, interact, and grow.

So, I went outside and shoveled more snow than I have shoveled in years. Was I clearing sidewalks? No. Porches? Nope. I did nothing of the sort. I instead built two luxury snow forts from which my children and one neighbor girl engaged in a few rounds of snowball wars. It was good fun. We [...]

I admit I am a pretty big influence on his blooming desire to [...]

We were instructed to theologically identify with one of the four theories. We were also presented with a variety of ethical orientations, such as: Deontological (rules and [...]

Snow day! Well, actually it is a freezing rain day. All the snow fell yesterday and last night. The mischievous morning shellacked it all with a glaze of ice. I can hear the sleet pulverizing itself against the clear of my study’s window as I type this entry. Too, I can hear some guy running [...]

I was checking out Portable Church Industries and I stumbled upon the Portable Church Blog. The Portable Church Blog just so happened to be shinning a bright spotlight on The Meeting House. The Meeting House is a multi-campus Brethren in Christ church currently meeting in the Famous Players Silver City Theatres in the metropolitan Toronto [...]

I just snagged me an ESV TruTone (Brown/Cordovan Portfolio Design). What is ESV? ESV = English Standard Version. It is a translation of the Christian Bible. The philosophy of translation, according to the ESV site: “The ESV is an essentially literal translation that seeks as far as possible to capture the precise wording of the [...]
