Go, Go Tumblelog!
OK. The Tumblelog is Tumblelogging, or so it seems. Now … to get the single pages to hold form. Yeah, right. It’s fun anyway.

Lo-Fi Tribe is Trekking Toward Tumblelog
Amazing. I think I successfully hacked up my blog’s php to display mixed-media, Tumblelog-like goodness. I’m still hacking away and really, really should have a php guru look at what I did just to be sure I won’t blow something up in the near future. I honestly have no clue about the php. It seems to have worked.
Rent A Pet
Timeshare pets, anyone? What is it? Flexible pet ownership for busy people who want to “feel like” they own a real-live pet! Seriously! You too can rent a pet when it is most convenient for you to do so (read: ensure compatibility with your individual lifestyle and unique circumstance). Here’s a good pet rent center (they even offer shuttle services that will deliver and/or collect your pet). Consumerism has gone mad, indeed.
What Difference does Theological Thinking Make?
I recently stumbled upon and purchased a very, very interesting read: Theology That Matters: Ecology, Economy, and God, Edited by Darby Kathleen Ray. The book is constructed upon a very important question: “What difference does theological thinking make?” Theology does sometimes seem totally irrelevant, as far as the big and immediate picture that is life and living are concerned. A Few Visual Statements for Emerging Christians
A wonderful cache of great postcard-like, visual statements for Emerging/Missional Christians. I especially like the last one re: Truth.
Fun with Mint 07302007
I’ve said it before, but I’ll happily say it again: I am thoroughly entertained by my site’s referral logs. Referral logs, for those who don’t know, offer website operators a little glimpse into the mind of the website reader. The log above is a record of search terms that led readers to this site. I enjoy the unexpected terms that show up in these logs … most of the time. Some are quite frightening; others are just funny. Read More »
The Consistency Problem of the Religious Left
One thing the religious left in this country needs to figure out for consistency’s sake: 1. Are we living in a post-Christian society (I would say yes)? 2. Are you still going to argue for and in terms of “minority faiths?” If you answer yes to both of these questions, then we have a consistency problem, I think. What is a “minority faith” in this setting? Perhaps the motley constituency of the religious left just flat-out disagree, internally?
My Apologies to Hypography™
My bad: It turns out that the name I used for my link section (i.e., “Hypography”) is actually a trademarked moniker. I honestly thought it was another generic web term, ala “Folksonomy.” Well, I’ll be changing and fixing that asap. My apologies to the good folk at Hypography™. I’ll make it right. How ’bout “Annotated Link List?” I think that gets to the same point.
