This is simple consumerism, at its rawest. It's walking into a convenient store and mind-numbingly starring at 300 different flavors of the same drink ... but with live creatures. :)</description>

		<description>Hmmm.  This may sound crazy, but I think there may be a *modicum* of sense in that idea.  If the goal is to keep animals from being put down unnecessarily, I can see it being a good idea.  Personally, we'd love to have pets--but being busy, it would be tough.  If I could take care of an animal part-time, knowing that it was getting better care than being in a shelter... maybe.  (Course I wouldn't be able to stay part-time.  I'd wind up adopting &#38; changing my schedule to fit the critter!)  Had a question on another post, which I'm heading to now...</description>
