Barack Obama Headquarters in Lancaster City

Obama

Tonight, I joined my fellow hope-filled politicos at the Barack Obama Headquarters in Lancaster City. We talked and planned phone banking, community canvassing, GOTV (Get Out The Vote), and the “Superbowl, World Series, World Cup-like event” that is the 22nd of April in PA. April 22nd is primary day. I’ll be living at the Obama HQ that whole day, providing they get the cable installed so we can watch the results in real-time on cable news.

I made 36 phone calls this evening and to my happy surprise not one registered democrat declared a vote for Hillary. Everyone who was sure of their vote strongly supported Obama. There were three undecided, but no one declared support for Clinton. I think Obama is going to claim an upset victory in PA.

I’ll be making more phone calls between now and primary day. I’ll also be volunteering wherever else I can help out in the campaign. It’s a great and incredibly well organized movement. The online infrastructure and web applications are absolutely incredible. Somebody has done the homework. It’s amazing to be part of such a well organized grassroots effort. Incredible …

I am meeting some fantastic new people too!

I really want someone to read this at headquarters.

Hillary saying “Send them back” regarding all the workers that are largely Hispanic, you know, without a finished application.

Really, in Las Vegas where so many Hispanic women supported her, they did not see her tough-stance statement for the benefit of whisky-shot sound bite insurances.

Find that darn footage and the Hispanics are sure to see that she is not another one of their mamacitas.

  3. Sonja, that’s cool! You better do this! And you better take a bunch of pictures and do some live blogging from the convention too! That’s awesome! I’ll join you in prayer for this! Count on it!

okay … so I’m saying this in my outloud voice. I’m on a list and the list was invited to send in applications to become delegates to our state convention. I think I’m a gonna do it. I’m sending in the app today with my yuppie lunch ticket ($20). I might be a state delegate for the O-man … maybe. I’m steppin’ way out of my comfort zone … so say some prayers for me, k?
