Ministry happenings and responsibilities are once again chipping away at my blog time! That’s OK. The more real-time ministry I engage, the more I’d rather be doing that! Blogging is great and all, but it pales in comparison to seeing real change in real time and getting involved with it. A blog, at least for me, should simply be an extension of real-time ministry, at least for the Christian. A blog should be a simple record of what’s going on in the real life of a believer; a blog should never BE or BECOME your life. That’s putting the proverbial cart before the horse, IMHO. A blog also should be, IMO, a way to share resources and ideas implemented and tested in real-time. If it becomes anymore or anything other than that, I think priorities were twisted somewhere along the line. I’d stop and check myself. So, though my blogging is slowing a bit, my ministry is ramping up. That’s a good thing.
I have been seriously busy with our church plant in Lancaster City. Inner Metro Green is moving! We have said goodbye to our original gathering space on Prince Street and have relocated to a space we share with Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. You can find directions and a map on the Inner Metro Green web site. We are a young church plant in Lancaster, so to be given this new space is a huge blessing! We are thankful and prepared to be good stewards of the space and opportunity we have been given.

Now we have a lot of room to grow! And it begins …
The aforementioned does not mean that I’m closing shop on Tribe! Not on your life! It just means that I’ll be posting less frequent but more substantial posts directed towards the things - the many, many things - I’m learning in real-time ministry. I won’t be posting as frequently, because I just don’t have the time. But when I do post, it will be something of edifying substance. So, stay tuned … and subscribe tot he RSS Feed so you catch the updates as they are published!

Wow … what a beautiful old church. It’s lovely. And, of course, you’re in my Googlereader anyway … so I’ll know when you post and look forward to it.
You should see the sanctuary, Sonja! Incredible! It was built for old-school oration. This congregation is awesome. they have been nothing but welcoming to us and our vision. It’s great to see people working together. it’s even better to experience it first hand!
The church shown above is really very nice. It’s very different from normal churches but it’s a marvelous piece of art.
@Francesco: That it is! The stained glass alone is special. The place smells too, and in a good way! I call it “the scent of polyester and bibles.” Does that make sense? Old churches have that smell. I’ll take it, and the stained glass, over the multi-purpose, convention-center-like squares that we try to sell as worship spaces today!
how cool, Shawn! Looks like it’s a beautiful space in a really good location…and I hope it serves as a catalyst for great ministry and service to the community around you.
have fun :)
