The Best Ever Animated GIF

This is pure awesomeness: the best ever animated gif.

Signs of the Missing Tribe

Tribe has been silent for nearly a month. There are a few equally important reasons for the dead air:

1. I needed to step back just to get a grip on the excessively polemical direction I was regularly trekking. It’s so very easy to fall into the routine of graceless disagreeing. I don’t want to fall into/live in that pit.

2. I needed to focus on my real-time responsibilities. My family and my ministry require more of me every day.

3. I simply needed a break from the whole “blogging” thing … It honestly became more of a chore than it was fun or edifying.

So, I took an extended break. I am preparing to return to regular posting soon. Much - if not all - of this future posting will be focused upon church planting, leadership, and all that I have been learning as our ministry steadily grows. I have so much to share and say about life, leadership, and church planting. Some of this will be good; some of it bad. When one plants a church, lessons are learned the easy way and the hard way, regardless of the preperation and/or approach. The point is to learn something, and I sure have been learning some things - so many things.

New Blog Design with 100% more Monk

I used my free time on my days off to re-skin my blog. Notes: 1. For this theme, I quit IE6. I don’t care about IE6. 2. I’m not finished. I’ll be tweaking the design as time goes on, and permits. 3. This design comes with 100% more monk. He’ll spit out wise sayings, for your consumption. So, say hello to Monk.

Lancaster City Block Party

Why have I been so busy lately? Planting a church takes a lot of time and energy. We just threw our first annual block party in the city. See a post re: it by Steven.

As Time Permits

I’ve been crazy busy; I’ll return as time permits. Stay tuned!
