Share Your Sermons with Google Base
Google is getting faith, it seems. Now you can upload and showcase and share your sermons and writings via Google Base. It is a good thing that Google Base is in Beta because I have not been able to successfully sign into the application as of yet. It’s stuck in a perpetual load sequence.

Modern Parables On Demand Curriculum
My already complimentary opinion of Modern Parables inflated upon reception of the following e-mail notice regarding what the good folk over at Compass Cinema are calling On Demand Curriculum.
Modern Parables films, application videos, and study materials are now available for digital download! We’ve spent the past month developing a new site that will enable our customers to buy our films and related materials one parable at a time. Each downloadable package includes one parable film, one application video, a director’s commentary, and a combined Student Book/Teacher’s Guide on PDF.
This is very, very cool and convenient. Well done Compass Cinema!
March Book and Resource Reviews Coming Soon!
I have no less than eight books sitting on my desk waiting to be reviewed. These books have been sent to me by publishers and/or web marketers specifically for review on Tribe. So, expect a flurry of reviews as I work hard to read and review each of these works over the next two weeks or so. Expect serious reviews for the following titles: Life After Church, by Sanders; Consuming Jesus, by Metzger; Take This Bread, by Miles; The End of Religion, by Cavey; Rising from the Ashes, by Garrison; Surprised by Hope, by N.T. Wright; Thank God for Evolution, by Dowd; Speaking of Faith, by Tippett. Stay tuned!
Speaking of Faith by Krista Tippett
I was recently sent a great little paperback titled Speaking of Faith: Why Religion Matters - and How to Talk About It, by author and NPR talk show host Krista Tippett. I will be reviewing the book in its entirety as soon as I am finished reading it. I’m halfway through it at this point. It is a refreshingly personal, religiously smart, and spiritually enlightening read. I’m spending a bit of extra time reading it, because it is that good. So, while I complete my read, and work on a proper review, I’ll leave you with a really great excerpt in the meanwhile.
Watch for the review and an interview with the author later this week! Read More »
Call for Worship Presentation Software Reviews
This is a question for all the worship leaders: which worship presentation software would you rate highest and recommend? I’ve been looking at a few different products, but I am really quite uninformed about worship presentation software. Your experience in this area and product recommendations are seriously coveted. We are in the midst of acquiring the basic equipment we need for our church plant, and quality worship presentation software is a priority. So, if you were building your worship experience from zero, which presentation software would you have to have? Thanks, leaders.
