A Saint Valentine’s Day Ice Storm

Snow day! Well, actually it is a freezing rain day. All the snow fell yesterday and last night. The mischievous morning shellacked it all with a glaze of ice. I can hear the sleet pulverizing itself against the clear of my study’s window as I type this entry. Too, I can hear some guy running mechanical somewhere in outside’s cold on some oversized and atmospherically annoying snow blower. It is a great day to be inside, blinds raised, of course. Seminary is canceled. Elementary school is canceled. The jobs have been called off for the day. Members of the Anthony family can be found hanging out in the house today … doing whatever. Together! Awesome. Snow days are good for family togetherness, it seems. At any rate, we finally had our first winter storm of the 2006-2007 season. It’s Saint Valentine’s Day.
